THIN LIZZY Special Airs On Irish Radio: Audio Available
September 27, 2006The Irish RTÉ Radio One arts show "Rattlebag" yesterday repeated its 2003 special program on the music of Phil Lynott and THIN LIZZY. People can listen to the show using a Real Player at this location.
Phil Lynott died a victim of drug abuse on January 4, 1986 at the age of 36. On August 19, 2005, a life-size bronze statue of Phil Lynott was unveiled on Harry Street in Dublin, just off Grafton Street in the center of the city. Lynott's mother, Philomena, was in attendance, as was the Lord Mayor of Dublin Catherine Byrne. More than 5,000 fans, from Ireland and around the world, also witnessed the event.
